Aircraft ferry & delivery
Ferry flights,
planned before they are flown
Domestic and international delivery flights — collection after purchase, positioning after maintenance, and import or export ferries planned around what the aircraft will actually do on the day.
The work
A planning job with
a flight attached
Most of a delivery flight happens before anyone straps in. Range at the weight the aircraft actually leaves at, permits and overflight clearances, fuel at fields that may not take a card, weather windows across water or the middle of the country, and a plan for the aircraft going unserviceable three sectors from home.
We have been buying, fixing and moving aircraft since 2012. The aeroplane being ferried is the same kind of aeroplane we own and operate, which is why the plan tends to survive contact with the weather.
What we cover
Collection, positioning
and export
- Purchase collection. Ferrying a newly bought aircraft home, including the checks that matter after a period sitting on the ground.
- Post-maintenance positioning. Moving an aircraft out of a maintenance facility and back to base, or straight to its next tasking.
- Import and export. Australia-bound deliveries and aircraft leaving the country, with the permits, customs and planning a border crossing brings with it.
- Pre-purchase movement. Getting an aircraft to the inspection facility your engineer wants to use, rather than the one nearest the seller.
How it works
One crew, one plan,
one point of contact
You get a route plan and a cost before the aircraft moves, with the assumptions written down: fuel, weather holds, crew positioning, and what an unserviceability would do to both. On the day there is one contact, and position reports if the aircraft is yours and you want them. Insurance and airworthiness are settled before departure rather than discovered at the first fuel stop.
Next step
Tell us the aircraft and the two ends
Type, registration, where it is now and where it needs to be. We’ll come back with a route, a timeframe and a price.
